Given the success of last year’s Taxes Q&A Workshop<\/a>, as well as the recent challenges faced by RAs and TAs across campus, GWC-UAW will host another tax workshop on March 28. Please rsvp here<\/a><\/b> and click here to submit your questions<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n

The last month has been hectic for over a thousand international graduate workers who have had to deal with Columbia’s reporting errors to the IRS regarding our 2014 taxes<\/a>, after almost a year of waiting for 2014 tax returns. Add in the complexities of international tax treaties, and how confusing taxes can be – we all have a lot of questions. Please come to our Taxes Q&A Workshop where we will all get a chance to ask questions.<\/p>\n

While we wish Columbia would arrange for an expert to come and answer our questions, we do not want to wait for them to do so. GWC-UAW has arranged for Joe Wolf, from Inemer & Wolf, LLP<\/a>, to join us to answer our tax questions. Since the Union is not qualified to offer tax advice, we have arranged for a professional in the field to come and answer questions.<\/p>\n

When: Monday, March 28th<\/sup> @ 5-7PM<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n
