Union Power!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With only 3 weeks left until <a href=\"https:\/\/columbiagradunion.org\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">our November 30 strike deadline<\/a>, we are rallying on Low Steps to  send a clear message to President Bollinger: either <strong>Bargain Now or We\u2019ll #CUonStrike!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>When: Thursday, November 15, 12:30-1:30pm<br \/>\nWhere: Low Library Steps<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While President Bollinger focuses on big donors who fund his big salary, we know this school runs on union labor. To show PrezBo and the trustees the strength of union power, GWC is rallying on Low Steps with unions from across campus and throughout the city. It&#8217;s time for PrezBo to stop laying off unionized workers, delaying bargaining, and pretending that graduate assistants and postdoctoral researchers aren&#8217;t workers. Columbia spends millions on administration executives and union-busting lawyers all while raising student tuition\u2014and then claims it can\u2019t afford unionized workers.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re coming together in recognition that an injury to one is an injury to all, and the workers of Columbia stand in solidarity with each other. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfTiiOLiCWFcAqUyff-2OX1fd2dip6Ns59J0fmoWXCzbt027Q\/viewform\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Please RSVP to the rally here.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last week we sent President Bollinger a letter demanding that the university declare its intention to bargain by 5:00 pm on November 30.
