Congratulations to the protesters in Sudan for their work in ousting President Bashir as well as the Minister of Defense Awad Ibn Auf. In the beginning of the year, our organizing committee released a statement of solidarity with the ongoing protests in Sudan, led by a number of labor unions and civil society initiatives, including the Sudanese Professionals Association. The Sudanese Professionals Association has called for protesters to stay on the streets until the regime has accepted a just transition to civilian rule as laid out by the signatories of the Declaration of Freedom and Change. We reaffirm our solidarity with these protesters and the unions that have contributed so much to this movement.<\/span><\/p>\n
