Today’s rally has been moved to 11:30 AM.\u00a0<\/strong>We will be joined on the in-person picket line by Jamaal Bowman, who was formerly an educator and is a member of the United Federation of Teachers.<\/p>\n

Come out and join us in person on the picket line from 10 AM-2 PM at 116th and Broadway so that we can use this opportunity to put as much pressure on Columbia as possible.\u00a0Sign up here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Due Today: First Round of\u00a0Hardship Fund Applications<\/strong><\/p>\n

Undergraduate students supportive of our strike have started a\u00a0hardship fund<\/a>, separate from the UAW Strike Fund. This need-based fund will be distributed by a Hardship Fund Committee of GWC. You can\u00a0apply for the hardship fund at this link<\/a>—apply today to be considered in the first round of applications<\/strong>. If you have any questions about the application process, or if you would like to get involved with the hardship committee, please contact us at\u00a0gwchardshipfund@gmail.com<\/a>. In order to qualify, workers must spend 10 or more hours a week at the picket line, either\u00a0virtual<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0in-person<\/a>\u00a0(we encourage workers to join the picket line for 20 hours or more per week).
