The University has agreed to increase wages by 3% in Year 2, from a previous position of a 2.5% increase.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
The dental discount for students enrolled in the Student Health Plan will be increased to 25% (from 10%) off self-pay fees on additional services at Columbia Doctors Dentistry.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
The University agreed to\u00a0numerous changes to the EOAA process<\/a>, which we can enforce through our contract and which will benefit the entire Columbia population, not just our workers. These changes include:<\/p>\n
The right to appeal the result of an EOAA complaint to a neutral decision-making body.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Expanded grounds for appealing EOAA decisions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
The decisions of the neutral appellate officers are final (CU has no role in affecting or approving decisions or recommendations, and this is legally enforceable).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
The right to access all evidence and interview recordings.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
On Non-Discrimination and Harassment, the University incorporated guaranteed bridge support for student workers whose EOAA complaint results in a determination that it is appropriate to switch faculty advisors. This guarantee is subject to our grievance & arbitration procedure.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
