The voting period for the bargaining committee election and bylaws ratification has begun! The voting period lasts from June 19th at 9am EDT until July 3rd at 9pm EDT–please make sure to submit your ballot by that time.<\/span><\/p>\n You should have received a unique link to your ballot via email and\/or text message from Election Buddy. <\/span>If you believe you are eligible to vote and have not received a ballot, please email gwciecsummer2021@gmail.com. <\/b>Include your UNI, department, preferred email\/phone number, and whether you fit the eligibility requirement.\u00a0 We will make every effort to respond to your emails and help you locate your ballot or resolve the problem within 24 hours on weekdays.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Eligible voters are Columbia graduate and undergraduate students who are currently employed by the university, have been employed by the university in the past, or whose program includes a degree requirement to be employed by the university in one of the categories outlined by the NLRB decision (i.e. graduate and undergraduate Teaching Assistants, Teaching Fellows, Preceptors, Course Assistants, Readers, Graders, Graduate Research Assistants [including those on Training Grants], and All Departmental Research Assistants), and who have signed a union authorization card or similar card authorizing representation by GWC-UAW. If you have not done so already, you may fill out a union authorization card <\/span>here<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Please take the time to vote in this very important election. Turnout for elections like these helps to make our union strong!
