Now you have a letter from the IRS saying you owe money?<\/p>\n<p>International students across campus have received letters from the IRS informing them that they owe hundreds or even thousands of dollars in taxes. Columbia withheld money from your paychecks and stipends, but the tax forms that Columbia sent do not match IRS records.<\/p>\n<p>Come to an emergency meeting of the International Students Working Group of the Graduate Workersof Columbia (GWC-UAW), the union of RAs and TAs on campus, to discuss a solution to this problem and plans to improve tax support for international students going forward.<\/p>\n<p><b>WHEN:<\/b> This Thursday, February 25<br \/>\n<b>TIME:<\/b> 10AM<br \/>\n<b>LOCATION: <\/b>International Affairs Building (SIPA) Room 406<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Still waiting for your 2014 tax refund?
