We are writing to urge you to participate in two important initiatives geared towards getting workers at Columbia the health and childcare benefits they deserve.
As the impact of COVID-19 continues to unfold, GWC’s Bargaining Committee (BC) is pressuring the Columbia administration to bargain over health benefits in our fight for a contract. In order to address how student workers navigate health systems at Columbia, we need everyone’s participation to give the BC the information they need about experiences utilizing health services on and off campus.

Parents working at Columbia were provided with an emergency childcare benefit in July and August, and Columbia Postdoctoral Workers-UAW Local 4100 (CPW) has started a campaign to extend the subsidy into the fall. Give parents the support they need to continue being invested in their research under especially trying circumstances.
