The Bargaining Committee is considering resuming the strike if major differences are not resolved. We encourage all unit members to organize their departments to be ready to resume the strike on Wednesday, April 21, if needed. We have a long mediation session scheduled for this Sunday, and we want to see what progress we can make by the end of the weekend.
Pausing the strike and entering mediation has produced a fair amount of progress including economic improvements, and we now have more information about the areas where CU has wiggle room and which areas they do not. However, some of the major issues remain open, including non-discrimination and harassment and improvements on dental costs.
