The last month has been hectic for over a thousand international graduate workers who have had to deal with Columbia’s reporting errors to the IRS regarding our 2014 taxes, after almost a year of waiting for 2014 tax returns. Add in the complexities of international tax treaties, and how confusing taxes can be – we all have a lot of questions. Please come to our Taxes Q&A Workshop where we will all get a chance to ask questions.
While we wish Columbia would arrange for an expert to come and answer our questions, we do not want to wait for them to do so. GWC-UAW has arranged for Joe Wolf, from Inemer & Wolf, LLP, to join us to answer our tax questions. Since the Union is not qualified to offer tax advice, we have arranged for a professional in the field to come and answer questions.
